Day 3.
First leg of the trip was Melbourne to Warnambool. We barely made it to Geelong, realizing we were carrying way too much weight in the caravan. Thank goodness for Rhys Hunt and Tenon Joinery. We were able to chug into Geelong and offload some weight at Rhys’ factory- namely some scuba equipment and an outboard.

Carrying less weight, and now without the dreaded death-wobbles we drove happier into Warnambool. My first night sleeping in a caravan. So much fun!!
Warnambool, with its gale force winds, put on a spectacular show at Breakwater waterfront, with record high seas crashing around.

Spent 2 nights in Warnambool, before driving 350 odd kilometers into SA- with very pretty scenery. Tonight we’re in Long Gully, just south of Robe. Surrounded by friendly wombats, and limestone cliffs. Still very cold, but incredibly beautiful. First night of self-sufficient camping, with no power or water to connect to.

576 kilometers from home.
